Fluoridation ranks high in telephone survey
Monday, 07 September 2009 12:47

Fluoride Action Network Dunedin is pleased with results from a recent Dunedin City Council telephone survey ranking fluoridation consultation at number four on the list of concerns about water issues both now and in the future.

"We are very pleased that the public feel that consultation about fluoridation is a high priority" says Olive McRae, Dunedin campaign manager for Fluoride Action Network Dunedin.

7 September 2009

"The public have always told us that this issue is important to them, they want a choice. Society has moved on from the 1950's when the state dictated who was drugged and at what dose. We have doctors who personally prescribe drugs to patients who require them. People are concerned about the effect of toxins, especially neurological toxins like fluoride! Dosing the baby right through to the family pets indiscriminately isn't acceptable anymore. It is only a matter of time before Dunedin has a new council, with new focus and direction, who will put fluoridation in the history books under the top 10 local body political stuff-ups" say's Ms McRae.
